Card Services Specialist

SUMMARY:

Assists members with advanced card issues and assist management with advanced debit and credit card functions. Performs at a high level of technical member service skills and maintains a working knowledge and understanding of Credit Union procedures, products and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Creates new VISA Credit Card accounts, orders cards.

· Researches and processes member disputes, chargebacks and adjustments.

· Balances VISA credit card payments.

· Prepares VISA credit card renewals.

· Performs credit bureau changes in e-Oscar.

· Issues debit cards. Check cards for accuracy, verifies proper account setups and suffix links with vendor system. Performs file maintenance on in-house and third party card issuer systems.

· Reviews closed account report for cards that need to be removed and blocked.

· Prepares chargebacks and adjustments for Debit and ATM transactions.

· Prepares debit card renewals.

· Assists members with PIN changes, use of cards, use of audio response system for VISA credit cards and ezcardinfo.com.

· Deletes inactive Debit and Credit cards.

· Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ability to work independently, as well as, in a team environment is key. Experience in debit and credit cards as well as IRA’s is recommended but not required. We will train the right candidate. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the credit union for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretions, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A high school education with one to three years of similar or related experience.

We have a full benefits package, including health, dental and vision insurance. 401k with up to a 6% employer match. Holidays and a PTO plan. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
